Winnipeg Fury

The Winnipeg Fury were a professional soccer team in Winnipeg. It was founded by Ralph Cantafio, who served as Team President and Chairman of the Board.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=The Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame & Museum )〕 The team was part of the Canadian Soccer League from 1987 to 1992. The Fury belonged to the former Canadian National Soccer League for 1993. Winnipeg Blue Bombers placekicker Troy Westwood played for the team in the late 1980s.

The Fury won the final CSL championship, defeating the Vancouver 86ers in goals aggregrate 3-1 in the two game series in 1992 season.
